How to get Started…

  1. Discuss using the Collaborative Law process with your Spouse.

Spouses and/or Parents (“party/parties”) discuss the possible use of Collaborative Divorce as a legal path with one another

    • The parties do not have to both agree at this stage to utilize Collaborative Divorce

    • If a lawsuit has already been initiated, upon the agreement of both parties the law provides a legal intervention or pause of such lawsuit if the Collaborative Divorce process begins

  2. Call one of our Attorneys to schedule a consultation.

At least one party meets with an Attorney for a consultation. The parties may also begin the process by contacting any practice group member but it is more effective to start with legal advice

  3. Each spouse chooses an Attorney within the practice group and retains their services.

  4. The Attorneys conference in order to ascertain what other Collaborative Divorce professionals need to be referred and/or brought into the parties collaborative divorce process

  5. The Collaborative Team is formed and the Process begins.
